The novel coronavirus (nCoV) continues to be a serious concern. As of writing, the Philippines has already reported its first coronavirus death and there’s still a huge possibility that it may increase. The symptoms of the virus, namely runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat and fatigue could easily be mistaken as any type of flu which makes it more concerning. The good news, however, is that we can avoid catching the deadly virus if we make an effort to protect our immune system.

The best way to protect our immune system is to watch what we eat (prioritize vegetables and fruits especially), get enough sleep, exercise, and of course take the right vitamins. The latter is one convenient way to keep ourselves protected especially if you’re working an eight hour desk job on a daily basis. When you keep your immune system healthy, you avoid not just the chances of catching viruses like the nCoV but also long-term medical conditions like burnout—a sickness that’s become more prominent these days.

How Does Burnout Affect our Immune System?

Millennial burnout is not a temporary affliction but an alarming condition that’s becoming increasingly rampant. It’s been reported that 23 percent of employees always feel burned out while 44 percent feel it sometimes. High levels of burnout result in headaches, muscle pain, low energy, inability to focus, and lack of motivation—all of which are also detrimental to the performance of our immune system.

The Best Way to Avoid Burnout

As mentioned above, the most convenient way to help boost our immune system is to take the right vitamins regularly. When it comes to burnout, the ideal natural substances to consider in vitamins are the ones that helps build stamina and enhances our psychomotor performance. Another factor to consider is the vitamins’ ability to keep the body functions in a healthy state as well as increase our optimum physical and mental performance. The vitamins that provide this are those that contain royal jelly, ginseng and antioxidant nutrients (vitamins A,C,E, and Zinc).

Aside from royal jelly and ginseng, the presence of B-complex vitamins and iron specifically also provides energy boost as it helps break down our food to utilizable energy—which is an advantage for those always on the go. Moreover, it also enhances our immune functions and protects the cells from harmful chemicals that we absorb from the food we eat.

Furthermore, if you want to avoid feeling exhausted and overwhelmed all the time, you must remember to prioritize your health. Whether it’s squeezing in 30-minutes of your time for physical activity daily, or taking the right choice of vitamins like Enervon Activ, these simple self-care habits will go a long way for your health.
