Most people dedicate themselves to a sport or two to stay fit. And then there’s Daniel Matsunaga

Unlike hope for our country and for the current state of Manila traffic, there isn’t a shortage of beauty and fitness inspirations online. A quick browse through celebrity Instagram accounts will yield the usual results: photos of travel, OOTDs, makeup, and, workout selfies. By no means are we suggesting this is a new thing, or worse, a trend. After all, a lot of sweat and tears go into a single workout photo. There is real work happening in these pictures. Perhaps the only issue is that there are just too many of these accounts.
But there are a few worth checking out simply because they’re different in the way that they motivate health buffs and aspiring athletes. Personalities like Daniel Matsunaga, for example, stand out because of the range of athletic ability he displays. Matsunaga snowboards, runs, travels, surfs, scuba dives, plays football, and standup paddleboards. He’s also recently finished a 13K Spartan Sprint. This is athletic prowess at its finest because while it’s not easy to understand how he does all that, it can drive you to challenge the limits you’ve set for yourself.
