Hidilyn Diaz ends up on the medal podium once again, but this time in a tougher weight class

After moving up to the 55kg category, Hidilyn Diaz bagged three silver medals in the 2019 Asian Weightlifting Championships (AWC) in Ningbo, China. According to Inquirer Sports, The Southeast Asian (SEA) Games gold-medalist lifted 94 kilograms followed by 115-kg and a superb 209-kg to claim the silver medal for the Philippines.
China’s Liao Qiuyun won the tournament with a record lift of 128 kilograms as well as the 96-kg and 224-kg—clinching three gold medals for her country.
The AWC serves as the Olympic qualifier for the 2020 Olympics. Diaz will represent the country for the fourth straight year and aims to bag a gold medal.
