Philippines wins big at the 2017 Wake Park World Championships

The Philippines wasn’t only the host of the grandest wakeboarding competition featuring the best wakeboarders in the world, but the 2017 Wake Park World Championships also proved that Filipinos can shred with the best of them.

Two hundred wakeboarders from over 20 countries descended at the world-famous Camsur Watersports Complex from Sept 28 to Oct 1 to compete at the action-packed four-day Wake Park World Champions by the World Wake Association.

Three Filipinos reigned supreme and showed they are indeed world-class riders. Stephen Vano was hailed as the Champion in the Amateur Men Category, Marvin Tucio bagged third place in the Master’s Men Category, and JP Canuto placed first in the Amateur Wakeskate Category.
