You can now pre-order Roger Federer’s Wimbledon outfit

The five-piece replica kit of Roger Federer will set you back almost P7,000

While Roger Federer’s shock defeat to South African Kevin Anderson at this year’s Wimbledon quarterfinals stunned the tennis world, heads also turned at the Swiss champion’s $300 million deal with Uniqlo.

After confirming his departure from Nike in the first round, Federer strolled through the lawns of Wimbledon donning Uniqlo’s game wear designed by artistic director Christophe Lemaire. The set consists of a shirt, shorts, headband, wristband, and socks made of the Japanese brand’s signature Dry EX material, which dries faster, prevents perspiration, and keeps comfortable during matchplay.

And because Federer’s arrival to the Japanese global brand is such a massive deal, the set was also reflective of the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s style: Instead of the classic polo shirt or crewneck style collar, Uniqlo reflected his preference for a short stand-up collar to emphasize a more sophisticated look both on and off court. The design of the shirt and shorts is accented by a the company’s signature burgundy color, incorporated at the edge of the sleeves and the front panel of the shirt, and down the sides of the shorts.

Thankfully, fans and amateurs alike can finally get their hands on this line. The brand has announced that pre-order sales of Federer’s gamewear will be available via Uniqlo Japan’s online store starting July 23, with delivery expected in late September to early October.

The five-piece model wear set will retail for Y13,500 or approximately P6,416.08 (plus tax) and will come in sizes small up to XXL.
