Rapper Travis Scott will headline a full-on virtual world tour called Astronomical in “Fortnite: Battle Royale” from Apr. 23 to 25 for the world premiere of his new song of the same name.
This isn’t the first time that Fortnite has collaborated with a musician. Considered as the biggest event in Fortnite history, Marshmello hosted a live EDM concert in the game on Feb. 2 last year with 10.7 million attendees. Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer, launched a game mode that disabled players from using weapons for 10 minutes to enjoy the DJ set.
Scott takes this concept further by announcing Astronomical tour dates so players from all over the world can participate. Additionally, gamers can earn special rewards and Scott cosmetics by participating in Astronomical’s challenges and even winning an Astroworld-branded glider.
Here are the five concert dates for the virtual tour:
- Thursday 4/23 – The Americas – 7PM EDT
- Friday 4/24 – EU & ME – 10AM EDT
- Saturday 4/25 – Asia & Oceania – 12AM EDT
- Saturday 4/25 – EU & ME – 11AM EDT
- Saturday 4/25 – The Americas – 6PM EDT
Just like a regular concert, players can drop in on the event 30 minutes before it starts. Prior to this event, Scott a.k.a. Cactus Jack was added as a new skin to the game’s Icon Series on Apr. 21 including his outfits, emotes, and other cosmetics.
