Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Ironman officials have decided to move the Alveo Ironman 70.3 Davao to May 10. The decision was made in line with the advisory of the Department of Health to secure the safety of athletes. The annual event, which was supposedly scheduled to take place on Mar. 20 to 22. The decision was also supported by Davao Mayor Sara Duterte who also canceled a number of events in the city like the Araw ng Dabao. According to the official Facebook post of Alveo Ironman 70.3, athletes who registered for the event will receive an email about the change of events shortly.
