While many sporting events have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some have been rescheduled.
In an official announcement on their respective social media pages, the 2020 Century Tuna Ironman Philippines and Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay that were originally scheduled on June 7 have been moved to Oct. 25 due to the current COVID-19 crisis.
Moreover, the 2020 Black Arrow Express 5150, which was originally set on Oct. 25 has been moved up to Oct. 18. All of the decisions are in line with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and the organization’s decision to prioritize the safety of their athletes.
“In what has been a continually evolving and challenging time globally, we recognize that the postponement may come as a disappointment but look forward to providing athletes with an exceptional race experience in the future,” the statement says.
