Could Kai Sotto be next?

It’s possible, according to ESPN senior reporter Adrian Wojnarwoski, as the NBA G League is now planning to recruit Sotto after recently signing Filipino-American standout Jalen Green

The 7’2 cager, who played for the Ateneo de Manila High School basketball team, is currently ranked 68th in the ESPN NBA draft class of 2020. Sotto was noted to have a scout grade of 83 and ranked 11th among big men on the list, branding him as a four-star recruit.

In the Atlanta-based The Skill Factory (TSF) tournament held in January, Sotto averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 blocks. The TSF is a sports skill and development organization where notable NBA players like James Harden and John Wall honed their skills before crossing over to the professional league.

Sotto is also being recruited by top NCAA Division 1 universities in the United States, including University of Georgia and University of Kentucky in Lexington—before the NBA G League came into the picture. Unlike the NCAA, the G League will be paying their athletes, providing them with college scholarships and better chances of making it to the NBA.
