Let’s show some love to our active (or yearning-to-be active) moms! Here are a few Mother’s Day gift ideas (at every price point) so we can make them feel appreciated and help them stay motivated.

Under P1,000

Bella by Vamos ponytail cap

With the summer heat, it’s important that we keep our mom’s head cool and comfy. Chances are, if she’s rocking a ponytail, she has a hard time finding headgear that fits. Luckily, this cap from Bella (P495) by Vamos solves that problem.

Tydax resistance band

There are lots of benefits to using resistance bands instead of normal weights. First, you can use it practically anywhere. Second, it allows you to hit certain angles for different muscle groups like never before such as your back and rear delts. We like these resistance bands (from P500) that have accurate weight ratings to give moms who would want to do more at-home toning.

P1,000 to P5,000

Simple Hydration bottle

For many, the biggest hurdle in bringing hydration during a run is the inconvenience of holding on to a water bottle. Luckily, we’d have to say that the Simple Hydration bottle (P1,200) is the perfect solution. You can tuck it in your racebelt, shorts or in the nape of your shirt.

Freeathlete 5mm yoga mat

When your mom joins  a (virtual) yoga or aerobics class, you’d want her to have a comfortable and safe time while she does her salutations and stretches. Freeathlete’s non-slip yoga mat (P1,990) can help keep her cushioned from start to finish. And a couple more benefits? These mats are made without phthalates, latex and toxic heavy metals.

Rudy Project Spacegirl

If she needs a pair of cycling sunglasses, you can’t go wrong with the Spacegirl (available now at a 70 percent discount from P10,900). This pair of spectacles is ideal for women with small faces. The adjustable nose piece helps keep it snugly in place while its photoclear polycarbonate lenses adjust to any lighting condition. Truly, this pair of sunglasses is all she’ll ever need on the road.

P5,000 to P10,000

New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11

For moms who need to step up their running game, the newly released Fresh Foam 1080v11 (P8,495) could give that extra boost. The sole is made of a soft yet responsive material that will allow her to keep going as she accumulates the miles, while the upper is made of breathable fabric to keep her foot cool.

P10,000 and up

Ovicx R100 rower

With today’s unpredictable quarantine guidelines, it’s hard to consistently plan your fitness activities. If you have the space, the best bet is to invest in a home gym and machines that work every major muscle group, like the Ovicx R100 rower (now nearly 20% off from P22,995). Most traditional rowers are space-consuming and need a lot of assembly when it’s first set up. But with this one, even moms don’t need to worry about a thing since it comes more or less assembled out of the box and folds for easy storage.
