2018 PSE Bull Run shows renewed spirit in running

Growth in running and investing continues as the 2018 PSE Bull Run shows

The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) held the 2018 PSE Bull Run last Jan. 14, Sunday in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig as part of its initiatives to raise awareness about investing in the Philippine stock market.

“The excitement and energy during the Bull Run mirrors the enthusiasm we have been seeing in the market, which has been conquering record highs since the start of the year,” says PSE president and CEO Ramon S. Monzon.

The 2018 PSE Bull Run had four categories, including a 25K to mark the silver anniversary of PSE. Eduardo Buenavista and April Rose Diaz bagged the top awards in the 25K men’s and women’s division with an official time of 1:30:08 and 2:06:57, respectively. Other top finishers were Jackson Chirchir and Lanie Cordona for 21K, Jonathan Enriquez and Silamie Apolistar for the 10K division, and Ryan Garcia and Maria Rose Pablito for the 5K run.

International Container Terminal Serivces, Inc., AP Securities, Inc., and Cargo Safeway were recognized for having the most number of runners for a listed company, a stockbrokerage firm, and a running club, respectively. R. Coyuito Securities, Inc. and Cargo Safeway were also cited for topping the 25K and 21K team competition.

“I hope that everyone who participated in the Bull Run will remain committed to a healthier physical and financial well-being this 2018. I also hope that our event partners and sponsors will continue to support PSE’s initiatives to increase awareness about the capital markets,” Monzon adds.
