Mark your calendar: A multisport festival is coming to Malaysia next year

Ironman 70.3 Desaru Coast and 5150 Desaru Coast will join the Ironman Asia circuit

Ironman has announced its event expansion into Asia with a new multisport festival weekend that will feature Ironman 70.3 Desaru Coast, the 5150 Desaru Coast, along with IronKids and Sprint Desaru Coast races on Apr. 17 to 19, 2020.

Situated on the southern tip of Malaysia, Desaru Coast will have a scenic race course with a 17-kilometer beachfront that faces east over the ocean with white sandy beaches and warm tropical weather. The course begins with a single-loop 1.9-kilometer (1.2-mile) swim, followed by a 90-kilometer ride on a two-loop bike course, and the 21.1-kilometer shaded run course to the finish line at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort.
