I have to admit, TikTok is a minefield of political takes, dance challenges, and dub videos, but if you’re a savvy user, you can nudge your two feeds toward your interests.

Sometimes you just luck into your particular interests, but other times you’ll need a hard push into the content you want to see. And like any other niche, there is a fitness TikTok.

I love fitness TikTok because, well, I love the culture and the amazing visuals they offer. I love seeing men and women show off their hard-earned bodies from grinding in the gym, and I also love watching them set new PRs and just generally being proud of their strength. I just enjoy people doing and talking about the same things I do.

What I love most about fitness TikTok though is learning. Watching all this content shows me a lot of things I either didn’t know yet or needed to be reminded of, and it inspires me to keep doing better

What I love most about fitness TikTok though is learning. Watching all this content shows me a lot of things I either didn’t know yet or needed to be reminded of, and it inspires me to keep doing better, especially after almost a decade into my own fitness journey. (You might even say that the people I follow are the fitness circle I wish I had.)

If you’re looking to jump into fitness TikTok, or you’re just looking for new fitness content creators to follow on TikTok, here are four suggestions:

RickSheen

RickSheen is a certified coach and bodybuilder who posts workout tips, his life as a coach and bodybuilder, and most importantly, answers fitness questions from commenters in an easy-to-understand way.

His chill, easygoing, and nonjudgmental nature makes his content super digestible, and I personally relate to his own fitness journey of being a stick-thin kid turning into a jacked, superheroesque figure. Like he always says in almost every video, he’s got you, fam.

Enjay Aba

I use American Council on Exercise-certified personal trainer Enjay Aba’s videos to check if my form is correct. His no-nonsense content also mostly involves workout and exercise tips, with a focus on correcting common form mistakes and minor details you may have overlooked, which is very useful for lifters of all experience levels.

Aba’s like a fitness magazine on TikTok, but you don’t need to read through a whole article or watch an entire five-minute video to find the info you’re looking for.

Jeaneth Aro

Fitness TikTok isn’t just about the weights we lift but also about the things we eat, too. Olympic and elite sports nutrition coach Jeaneth Aro has worked with a lot of amateur and professional athletes in the Philippines (like Hidilyn Diaz, PBA’s TNT Tropang Giga, and golfer Miguel Tabuena) and her content focuses on presenting sports and nutritional science in a digestible way on the platform—in Tagalog, too, so many Filipinos have no problems understanding it. Going through her feed can change the way you approach eating.

Jo Sebastian

Where Coach Aro is purely technical in her content, registered nutritionist and dietitian Jo Sebastian is warm, friendly, and encouraging about the way you eat. Sebastian’s motto is “you deserve to eat,” and her videos constantly show her eating what you might consider junk food and reminding you to not feel guilty about what you eat as long as it makes you happy and fuels your body.

In addition, she also teaches you to cook nutritious food and accept your body the way it is. If you want to watch the fitness journey of a regular person—without social media embellishment—Sebastian is a great follow.
