The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) halted ABS-CBN’s television and radio broadcast operations last Tuesday, May 5. This also means that the network’s ABS-CBN Sports and Action TV is currently no longer aired on TV.
Philippine sports leagues like the UAAP, NCAA and Premier Volleyball League are broadcast partners with the ABS-CBN franchise and will therefore be gradually affected by the shutdown. There will no longer be games and shows related to the leagues aired on national television.
To the network who covered my games, who witnessed and celebrated my triumphs and defeats, who entertained us and informed us and who brought me closer to your homes. For every hardwork each Kapamilya poured into for the service of the Filipino worldwide #IStandWithABSCBN 🙏🏻

International sports events like Mixed Martial Arts One Championship league will no longer air as well since it is also affected by ABS-CBN’s closure.
Since ABS-CBN Sports and Action operations remain closed, the sports league may lose their broadcast partners. Employees such as full-time producers and broadcasters will likely lose their jobs as well.
